This new waterside café might be the prettiest spot to have your breakfast

Perched on Whitegate Pier and housed in a slick black custom container, Corkbeg Coffee is one of the most scenic new spots to enjoy a cuppa.

Newly opened by Grainne Gormley, the perfectly positioned café is serving up brews by Bell Lane Coffee in Westmeath, O’Flynn’s famous sausage rolls, and a variety of sweet treats that you can enjoy atop a stool staring out to sea or outdoors in the salty air.

There’s homemade granola with natural yogurt and berries to satisfy those healthier visitors in the morning and tasty salads, sandwiches, and soups on the go all afternoon. The kids will be weak for the lush Callebaut hot chocolate too (best served with a brownie on the side).

Here’s a peek at the interior:

Grainne, a musician, is planning on hosting regular gigs at the premises during the summer too, so keep an eye on her Instagram feed for updates.

In the meantime, you can drop by from 7.30am – 4pm from Tuesday to Sunday.
