Current owners tease ‘a new chapter’ for Tracton’s Overdraught Bar

A new chapter begins in Tracton, Minane Bridge in January.

The owners of The Overdraught Bar, a central hub of the community for almost four decades, are off on a new adventure.

Current owners John and Lisa Cronin announced the news on social media today, ending a nine-year stint at the helm of the popular venue.

The Carrigaline couple first purchased The Overdraught on their return from the US in 2015, carrying out a full refurbishment and adding cocktails and a new bar menu.

Listed with estate agents Behan Irwin & Gosling, the €425,000 property, described as “full of old wonderful character” went up for sale in March. It includes a four-bedroom apartment upstairs.

“Our chapter at The Overdraught will end on Sunday 17th of December,” they said.

“A massive THANK YOU to all our incredible staff & loyal customers for the last 8 1/2years. Keep an eye on social media pages for updates on the next chapter for The Overdraught beginning in January.”
