Doreen’s Bakery has a brand new look, preparing the business for another 40 years of success on Leeside.
Unveiling the results of a stunning refit of their location in the Westside Centre on Cork’s Model Farm Road on social media, the Doreen’s crew gave their fans a sneak peek at their new industrial-style lighting and subway-tiled coffee bar, as well as some fun features.
On the new bread wall, stunning circular display shelves are heaving with the day’s fresh loaves, sourdoughs, and scones.
As well as a fridge for the traditional Cork favourites; the chocolate eclairs, the cream pastries, and the chocolate slices, there’s also a celebration cake section where you can pick up a luscious bake for a birthday or a special occasion.
“We’re open folks!” the team announced on social media.
“All our hard work the last few months has finally paid off. We can proudly open our new Cafe (in the same location) just bigger and better.”
Opened in 1985 by husband and wife team, Gerard and Doreen O’Kelly who began by baking 50 loaves of brown bread each morning, Doreen’s continues to operate as a family-run business, with three generations of the same family still involved.
A number of delicious new treats have been added to the menu too – use the Eircode T12 W308 to get you there.
