She spoke about this with her guest panel and she said: “Sometimes people pretend that they hadn’t anything done and that they’re naturally gorgeous and naturally this and that bugs me because there’s more plastic in them than Barbie.
“If that’s what they want to do that’s completely fine, knock yourself out, but I don’t know, sometimes I just don’t like that sort of lying and cheating.”
She went on to explain that filters can have a negative effect on younger people and can cause “facial dysmorphia”.
The Cork native continued saying: “I think sometimes, nowadays with filters and ways of touching up on your facetuning that young girls, and boys, are suffering massive dysmorphia, facial dysmorphia.
“They look in the mirror and think ‘I’m ugly’ because they’re so used to the Instagram filters.”
She then went on to say that she had actually had botox just two weeks ago and that she doesn’t think it’s a big deal.
The Virgin Media presenter continued: “It’s lovely if you have the little bunny ears and nose and that sort of stuff but it filters absolutely everything else and that’s the danger of this computer we have in our pocket now.
