RTE viewers have called The Young Offenders “the best thing on TV” as Jock ends up in a boxing match.

In tonight’s episode, Conor and Jock stop some local ‘can trailer’ tearaways from destroying their estate, but the encounter leads to an argument and a challenge is laid down for Jock to enter into a boxing match.

But the tearaway, JP, is a champion boxer, meaning Jock has to train to get in shape for the match.

Conor and Jock prep for two weeks for the match with almost no one believing he could win.

On the day of the match, tensions were high and the boxing match was very exciting with Jock narrowly beating JP with a knockout punch.

BOXING MATCH

However, in typical Young Offenders fashion all of the spectators ended up fighting in the end and it was all a bit chaotic.

Conor even won a large sum of money as he bet that Jock would win the match with a knockout.

Fans of the show were loving tonight’s episode as they flooded Twitter with praise for the show.

Anthony tweeted saying: “The witty writing, the direction and the acting from @WalleyChriss, @Alexmurphy_97 and @thehilaryrose and much more in @YoungOffenders_ is absolutely brilliant. It’s the huge emotional heft it weaves into the comedy that makes it something truly special. It’s quite wonderful.”

Ronnie replied to another fan’s tweet saying: “Totally agree! Its a joy, the best thing on tv rn..gonna watch the movie soon!”

While Leah hilariously said: “I thought I didn’t have a guilty pleasure but its just now that I’m realising i do and its the young offenders.”

This comes as BBC viewers begged for subtitles as they struggle to understand the stars’ heavy Cork accents.

Taking to Twitter, audience members were begging the BBC to add subtitles for those struggling to interpret the actors’ accents.

One wrote: “Finally watching #TheYoungOffenders, hubby needed subtitles but otherwise, we both thoroughly enjoyed it.”

Another added: “If you aren’t watching #TheYoungOffenders you really should be. It’s hilarious and absolutely packed with heart. I recommend subtitles to get the most out of it!”

And a third penned: “#theyoungoffenders #BBC can you put subtitles on this? The only coherent words are F**K.”
