Normal People star Paul Mescal and Young Offenders actors team up for hilarious quiz testing friendship

NORMAL People star Paul Mescal and The Young Offenders stars Alex Murphy and Chris Walley teamed up for a hilarious quiz to test their friendship.

It turns out all three of the Irish lads are mates with Alex and Paul meeting in college in Dublin.

Paul who plays Connell Waldron in the BBC drama admitted they “know each other very well”.

Paul and Alex sat down with Chris, who plays Jock on The Young Offenders, and spilled some of their secrets.

In the interview, Paul put Chris and Alex’s friendship to the test as he asked the pair some very obscure questions.

However, at the very beginning of the video someone off-screen asks Paul: “How well do you three know each other?”

Paul replied to this saying: “We know each other well.”

While Alex went on to explained: “I met this handsome man whenever I went to college in Dublin.”

Chris also explained that he and Alex would know each other “very well” and then they started the game.

During the quiz, Alex revealed that Chris used to “jump into every school or class photo in different costumes.”

Chris then revealed that he used to work as a shop assistant in Debenhams when he was younger and that his guilty pleasure TV show is Love Island.

Also during their chat, Paul explained that he used to work in a Maxol petrol station when he was younger.

Speaking about this Paul said: ” I worked in a Maxol in a garage. I wore a bright blue Maxol polo. I used to pretend the ice cream machine didn’t work.

“If you agree to that then you’re opening up the flood gates and then you’re slinging ice creams all-day.”

Alex then went on to prove his impressive talent of saying the alphabet backwards and Chris showed off his speed skip roping talent.

Speaking about his unique talent, Alex said: “Whenever I was like 12 my dad said he’d give me 20 quid if I could learn the alphabet backwards.”
