Kerry 4-22 Cork 1-9: Clinical Kingdom vengefully rout the Rebels to win the Munster football championship in Killarney

KERRY put Cork to the sword in a swashbuckling second-half performance to avenge their 2020 loss and win the Munster football championship on Sunday.

Having trailed for much of the first-half, the Kingdom put on a show following the first-half water break, with Brian O Beaglaoch getting their first goal prior to the break.

They went on to score 3-5 by the time Cork next scored, with further goals from Paul Geaney (2) and Sean O’Shea seeing them rout their outmatch neighbours, who had Ruairi Deane sent off in injury-time.

12 different players scored for Kerry on the day, as they move on to an All-Ireland semi-final against either Tyrone or Monaghan, who compete in the Ulster football championship final.
