Gardai appeal for help after boy, 3, disappears from hotel in Co Cork as mother urged to contact cops

GARDAI have appealed for the public’s help in locating a young child who has been missing for three days.

Sebastian Cykov, 3, was last seen at around 11.30am last Thursday at the Maldron Hotel, South Mall in Co Cork.

Cops believe the young lad is in the company of his mother Monica Balazova.

Gardai have made a direct appeal to Ms Balazova, 31, to “urgently make contact”.

They are also appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

A Garda spokesperson said: “Gardai are seeking the public’s assistance in tracing the whereabouts of 3 year old Sebastian Cykov who was last seen at approximately 11:30am on Thursday, 3rd September, 2020, at the Maldron Hotel, South Mall, County Cork.

“An Garda Síochána believe Sebastian is in the company of his mother, Monika Balazova (31 years old).

“An Garda Síochána are not aware of Sebastian’s whereabouts at this time.

“Gardaí are appealing to anyone with any information on Sebastian’s whereabouts to contact Anglesea Street Garda Station on 021 4522 000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.

“Gardaí are also appealing to Sebastian’s mother, Monika Balazova, to urgently make contact with An Garda Síochána.”
